This exemplary rug features a Gendje style design, with repeating rows of stripes in the central field. The rows of stripes add a delightful twist, in incorporating stylized paisley or boteh motifs in alternating colors. Enclosed within an ivory border with scrolling starburst style flowerheads. In very good condition for its age, composition, and weaving style. Wool pile on a cotton foundation. A unique rug with a wonderful design, and an excellent choice to enhance your home decor! |
